Continuing the evolution of the Seiko 5 Sports SNXS series, this new watch embraces the design principles of the originals with a 'classic sports' theme. It integrates the essence of the 70s Seiko 5 Sports models with modern specifications. The dial, under a semi-spherical glass, features Lumibrite glow-in-the-dark hands and indices, each diamond-cut with finely grooved lines on a "rinse blue" dark dial. The wider, non-triangular hands and orange second hand enhance the vintage retro look. The metal dial ring and bracelet with mirror and hairline finishing complete the design. Powered by an in-house 4R36 automatic movement, it is accurate to +45/-35 seconds per day and has a 40-hour power reserve.
